In the latest episode of “Dancing with the Stars” aired this Friday, February 23, on TF1, James Denton was once again unable to perform due to an injury, frustrating not only the audience but also his son, who has given him an ultimatum.
After a year’s hiatus, “Dancing with the Stars” made a grand return on TF1. The season’s premiere on February 16, hosted by Camille Combal, started with a bang, particularly due to Inès Reg’s impressive dance skills. The 31-year-old comedian, recently separated from her husband Kevin, shone on the dance floor alongside her partner Christophe Licata with a contemporary dance performance. However, the evening’s most anticipated moment was James Denton’s, known as Mike Delfino from “Desperate Housewives,” first performance. The 61-year-old actor, one of the biggest stars in the cast, had high expectations for his debut. Unfortunately, Denton suffered an injury just three days before the recording of the first show, leading to a doctor-advised withdrawal from the performance.
Viewers were hopeful for a recovery by the next week, but were disappointed to find out he would also miss the show aired on February 23. Unable to perform, Denton appeared on stage in jeans, seated on a chair, sparking outrage among fans, some of whom claimed they were watching the season solely to see him dance. The frustration wasn’t limited to fans; Denton’s children, Malin and Sheppard, expressed their displeasure as well.
In a short video broadcasted on the giant screen, Denton’s daughter expressed her love and missing her father, setting a soft tone. However, her brother, showing less leniency and reflecting the sentiments of his mother, Erin O’Brien, sternly warned his father, “We’re sure you’ll do great once you can dance again. But if you don’t win, don’t bother coming home.” A clear ultimatum for James Denton.
