Viewing DJ Snake & Lil Jon’s “Turn Down for What” As A Short Dance Film

“DJ Snake & Lil Jon – Turn Down for What”

Honestly, I wasn’t sure if I should post this at DanceLand or not. It marks a clear departure from All World Dance‘s commitment to creating a “family-friendly” media and, ultimately, social site.

Which makes posting this video another layer in the rich and beautiful dance film that is “Turn Down For What.”

The reality is that dance often involves erotic as well as social dimensions and this short film captures that sense of community with a great deal of humor.

The wide range of body types and the full commitment of the performers is another level worth considering. This film also celebrates human diversity.

It’s an interesting example of a work made for popular culture that quickly and beautifully gets much deeper than many works for the concert hall.
