Take Me To Church, A Short Ballet Film Starring Sergei Polunin, Closes In On 7 Million Views

“Sergei Polunin, ‘Take Me to Church”, Directed by David LaChapelle”

With the video starring ballet dancer Sergei Polunin drawing closer to 7 million views on YouTube, one can say this short film by David LaChapelle is a success.

A surprising number of media outlets assumed that Polunin created the dance himself, which would be a rare event in his world, and failed to realize that Jade Hale-Christofi was the choreographer.

In their defense, the video credits don’t mention the choreographer and Hale-Christofi does not have that strong a web presence. Hopefully DanceLand will be able to help bring more attention to such outstanding artists as we grow.
