(Mumbai) – Red Bull BC One is the biggest one-on-one B-Boy and B-Girl competition in the world. Every year, thousands of dancers across the globe vie for a chance to represent at the World Final. Sixteen B-Boys and sixteen B-Girls earn the right to enter into an all-out battle on the Red Bull BC One stage, but only one will be crowned the champion.

Mumbai has been selected as the host city for the breakdancing climax to 2019 as the world’s best B-boys and B-girls battle it out to be crowned the world’s No1 with the grand finale on November 9, 2019.

– The first Red Bull BC One World Final was held in Biel, Switzerland, back in 2004 and host cities for the season’s climax since have included Berlin, Paris, New York, Tokyo, Moscow and Rio de Janeiro among others.

– For its 16th edition, the Red Bull BC One World Final travels to a country of celebration and dance – India. After previous editions hosted across some of the biggest cities in the world, Mumbai will host the World Final for the first time ever, seeing the world’s best breakers go head-to-head to earn the title of Red Bull BC One World Champion.

– BC One competitions take place all over the globe for the best B-boys and B-girls in the lead-up to the finale. A host of national competitions – or cyphers – will produce a litany of winners to showcase their talents in Mumbai.

With breaking or breakdancing provisionally approved for the Paris Olympics Summer Games in 2024, it is an exciting time for the scene, with all eyes on breaking as it adds to the diversity of Olympic sport.
