Mini-ADF Returns To China’s Henan Normal University

adf-henan-china[Durham, NC] – The American Dance Festival will host a Mini-ADF at the Henan Normal University in Henan, China from Aug. 8-23. This is ADF’s third collaboration with the university since 2011.

The 130 students enrolled in the program will have the opportunity to take a variety of classes including modern, voice and gesture, and improvisation. ADF faculty Rafael Lopez-Barrantes, Maria Bauman, Rodger Belman, and Curt Haworth will be teaching classes accompanied by ADF musicians John Hanks and Claudia Howard-Queen.

ADF has a long tradition of both national and international involvement. Mini-ADFs have been held in Japan, South Korea, China, Russia, Argentina, India, and Utah since the inception of the program in 1984. ADF has also hosted Institutional Linkages Programs consisting of specially designed exchange projects with dance institutions in over 20 countries.
