What a fun dance video from Marquese Scott, musician Matthew Dear and GE acoustics engineer Andrew Gorton!

It literally takes about a minute to really come together but when the tempo shifts everything falls into place musically, visually and choreographically.

Dear and Gorton first “teamed up to collect and compose thousands of audio emissions from the world’s most powerful machines” resulting in the track Drop Science.

Then, as they put it in the video, Marquese Scott “brought it to life.”

Clyde F. Smith

DanceLand founder Clyde F. Smith has a BFA and MA in Dance from UNC-Greensboro and a PhD in Cultural Studies from The Ohio State University. In addition to staging his own works, Clyde performed with NC's New Performing Dance Company and San Francisco's The High Risk Group. Clyde returned to performing in 2015 with an improvisational project called Working Sessions.
