DanceLand 2019: Returning With A New Focus

Shia LaBeouf “Just Do It” Motivational Speech

I decided to take Shia LaBeouf’s advice and “Just Do It” though it’s taken me a few years. Since I last posted at DanceLand, I’ve moved to Chattanooga, TN and worked on a number of different projects. However, my heart has always been with DanceLand and I’m excited to be back in action. Plus, I have an excuse to post the above video as inspiration to all of us that need it!

The new focus at DanceLand is twofold:

Business News will be the main topic of dance news moving forward. Additional categories may be added but they will likely focus on other aspects of the business of dance.

The long awaited Dance Directory will be launching soon. However, instead of featuring dance studios, it will be open to all dance companies, educational centers and businesses. More on that soon.

Dance Video posting will be essentially the same. I think it’s important to represent dance in all its forms and include some related movement work that I find relevant to the world of dance.

Over the next week I will be focused on getting caught up with dance news from the first quarter of 2019. Moving forward, I hope people will send more press releases or even propose guest posts focusing on dance business news from the launch of new companies and businesses to marketing campaigns and dance fashion lines.

You can send video links and press releases to: news(at)dance(dot)land.

If you just want to chat, ask questions or make suggestions, feel free to write the above email address or email me directly at: clyde(at)dance(dot)land.

You can keep up with the site through the social media options in the sidebar or sign up for the email newsletter. The current newsletter goes out each morning with links to the previous day’s posts. I will be relaunching a business newsletter for those who register for the dance directory or who just want to keep up with the business side of DanceLand.

I’m really happy to be back!
